![Working with the highly regarded artist Eduardo Kobra, Linde’s team in Brazil created beautiful murals on tanks containing liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen – thus providing positive messages about the care with which the company treats the environment.
The Brazilian marketing team around Tathiana Ostorero Lehfeld, Market Intelligence & Communications Manager, contacted the global Branding & MarComms team in Munich, Germany to realise such an outstanding and exceptional tank labeling project.
It took Kobra about a month to paint each tank, including the use of special inks to guarantee better weather resistance and longevity. Located on a busy highway on the Cônego Domenico Rangoni road, the main route to reach the north seashore in São Paulo State, the most populous in Brazil. The spectacular results are generating buzz in the Cubatão area.
“Kobra is very famous in Brazil, so everything he does is cool and recognised,” said Ostorero, who coordinated the project. “The reactions we’re getting are really positive, including mentions in social media and the local media. This is a beautiful touch in an industrial area, and people really appreciate it. It’s very uplifting.”
Known for utilising bright colours and bold lines, Kobra balances photorealism while maintaining a bold-but-playful approach. At the suggestion of the Linde marketing team in Brazil, his themes for the tank murals showed children, symbolizing the future, and wind, suggesting how Linde creates products and innovation from the air itself. The overriding slogan is “If there is innovation in the air there is Linde.”](/en/images/s_20160926_91784_5426_tcm36-368104.jpg)
